educational support

Girl child education is still a big problem in Nepal especially in rural areas. It has been a tendency among the rural community to give preference to education to boys. Despite several efforts from the government side the existing situation on girl child education has not improved so much. Girl child are being preferred as helping hand in the household chores and also working in the farm. Majority of the girl child cannot complete even the primary level education in the village schools. The dropout rate is very high.

To address this social problem, Shambhala Charity members and volunteers have been engaged in various activities such as counseling to the rural community. Providing scholarships to the girl child and also boys who come from underprivileged family. Most of the cases encountered so far are poverty in the remote areas where the meager income source of the family is not enough to support formal education to their children.

Shambhala charity seeks support from well wishers and sponsors to support our campaign to provide education to the children from the backward societies ensuring their bright future.

Shambhala Charity, with support from various international and domestic organization, constructed over 100 temporary class rooms in the villages in Lalitpur district in Nepal, which were destroyed completely by the earthquake.
